Two blocks to make this super scrappy brick layout. Brick means a 2 to 1 format fabric. I am using a 4.5 x 8.5" size but this can easily be adapted to any other size that is also a 2:1 ratio: you will need to add or subtract the number of blocks to achieve the finished quilt size you would like. Other sizes (unfinished) 2.5 X 4.5 or 3.5 x 6.5 5.5 x 10.5" etc. or for a smaller project the mini chips 1.5 x 2.5" unfinished.

Unfinished block 4.5 x 8.5"
Finished block 4 x 8"
Each row uses 8 blocks across with a total of 7 rows
The row sequence
Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7 - 8 across blocks
Rows 2 and 6 uses 4 blocks across (neutral lights stitched end to end)
Row 4 can either be 4 blocks end to end (shown in purple) or 1 continuous strip measuring 32.5" x 4.5"
The demonstrated quilt measures 32 x 44" without borders, It does NOT Square (seriously), always add extra rows and columns to build to the size that you prefer.
