In this autumn knitting podcast from Orkney, I’m heading outdoors among the purple thistles, ripening blackberries and fields of barley before coming home for some slow, creative making.

I’m sharing a little of my **August knitting**, including the final pieces from my **Toledo Tiles Collection** — a colourful mosaic-style knitted tank and some rather lovely knitted hair accessories. The scrunchie has already become a firm favourite!

Then it’s time for an **easy beginner sewing project**, turning old quilts and duvet covers into cosy handmade dog beds. There is sewing, recycling, a very large duvet, and a slightly hilarious battle to get everything inside the cover…

The finished dog beds? You’ll have to come back next time to see those.
