Today I’m having a creative sewing day and testing out 3 easy sewing and DIY projects that have been living in my head. No patterns, no practice runs, and absolutely no guarantee that they’re going to work. 😂 We’re figuring them out together!
In this video, I’m making:
🎃 A Pumpkin Placemat Purse... I found the cutest pumpkin placemats and decided to turn two of them into an adorable fall handbag with handles and a magnetic closure.
📏 A Measuring Tape Headband... because apparently a regular measuring tape can become a ridiculously cute sewing-themed hair accessory. This one might be coming with me to every sewing event from now on!
🎀 A DIY Scrunchie With Bow Tails... I’m recreating one of my daughter’s favorite hair accessories using leftover fabric I already had in my sewing room.
The best part? These projects are all about experimenting, using what you already have, repurposing unexpected finds, and giving yourself permission to sew without worrying about perfection.
Sometimes the best sewing projects happen when you stop following instructions and simply start playing with fabric, scraps, thrifted finds, and those random ideas floating around in your head.
