🎧 Random Background

This was recorded at Melbourne Central on 8/8, but I didn't manage to upload this on Towa-sama's birthday :(
I suddenly came up with this plan at around 2pm, so I spent the next 2 hours getting familiarised with everything. (Luckily, I listen to this song all the time, and I could already play the chorus from long ago, so it didn't take too long.) As a 常闇眷属, I felt like I needed to do something today (as for 8/8)~

For verse 1, I felt bored with my left hand, but I can't really play anything in the lower register, otherwise the song will sound too heavy. So, well, play something with a cross-hand technique~
01:05 (and the chorus later) I feel like staying on C-chord is kinda boring, so I added an Am that leads nicely to Dm.
In the chorus, there's a part that jumps from C to D#dim. I tend to add a passing D in between, but before this playthrough, I decided to emphasise the abrupt change by playing D#dim and then hitting the D# in octaves in the lower register.
02:37 The D6 note is so out of tune 😭
Also, throughout the entire playthrough, I couldn't really find a good pivot point to support my body (you can see my left leg keeps moving). (ok, not that much, but it does feel kinda funky.)

🎼 Self-Roast
00:30, 00:53, 02:03, 02:44 random acceleration
01:07 😭
01:20 Played the wrong chord on the first repeat. Probably no one would notice that.
01:43 Did I just press the D with my left-hand pinky...?
02:23, 02:44, 02:50, 02:57, 03:02 Where is the counting?!?
03:05 Memory lost (wrong note)
03:10 This part is equivalent to the lyrics' “Palette” (last word). HOW DID I MESS THAT UP 😭
03:25 OUCH, misclicked F note. F... I was planning to play CDG at the end, but it became CDEG... The ending of the original song is meant to end on the IV chord, which feels slightly unresolved. But since it's a very long IV chord, I reckon I need to do something on the piano, so I added this random run on Csus2, resolving to G instead. However, that single E note changes the mood SO MUCH.
Did I play the chords too loudy? I feel like that is the fun of pop.

Footnotes:
- Difficulty — personal scale (1–5):
1 = easy, ≤1hr to learn
2 = moderate, gets familiar after some practice
3 = time-consuming
4 = difficult but manageable
5 = very hard, even with heavy practice still unstable

- Familiarisation: how well I actually know. Ideally should match performance satisfaction level, but recording chaos lowers it

- Performance satisfaction: my own judgement (I’m usually not satisfied)

- Derivative %: how much is the transcription inspired by others: 0% = fully original · 100% = fully borrowed.
