⛔ When New York City public school students head back to the classroom tomorrow for the new school year, about two-thirds of them will be blocked from using artificial intelligence.

Students through eighth grade won’t have access to AI tools, and high school students will face strict limits. Screen time will also be restricted for students in the country’s largest school district.

➡️ Soon after NYC’s announcement, the Los Angeles public school district announced a similar, more restrictive ban, enacting a moratorium on AI for all students.
