India has summoned the Russian Chargé d'Affaires after a Russian attack on the commercial vessel MV Golden Leo near Ukraine's Odesa port killed four Indian seafarers and left one critically injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs conveyed India's grave concern and strong condemnation, stressing that attacks on commercial vessels undermine international maritime safety and are unacceptable.
