On global security, Rubio stressed that stability in key maritime chokepoints remains vital for both the United States and China, and for global economic stability.

Regarding his meeting with the Pope, Rubio described the discussion as “very positive and cordial,” saying he updated the Vatican on the Iran situation while acknowledging the Pope’s spiritual role and emphasis on peace.

On NATO, Rubio highlighted both the strategic value and internal tensions within the alliance, pointing to restrictions from some member states on U.S. operations and calling for reassessment of operational cooperation.

On Ukraine, he reaffirmed U.S. willingness to mediate peace efforts if conditions allow, while warning that current diplomatic initiatives remain stalled. He also addressed Cuba, confirming continued U.S. humanitarian aid offers that have not yet been accepted by the Cuban government.

The remarks reflect widening global tensions across multiple conflict zones and increasing pressure on U.S. foreign policy strategy.
